Real Racing 2 HD will support 1080p via HDMI out, iPad becomes your map

Firemint’s popular iOS game, Real Racing 2 HD, will be the first game to fully support the Digital AV Adapter’s ability to output 1080p via the iPad 2. Currently when you play the game, it mirrors the iPad 2 including the 4:3 aspect ratio.

The future update will detect the adapter and outputs the game in 16:9 widescreen at 1080p resolution and will display the map of the current course on the iPad 2 while you use it to steer.

The update is not yet available but is coming soon so don’t hesitate to buy it now.

Hopefully more developers get on board with this to add more value to their apps.
