What To Wear For Spring Occasions
Tomorrow is the day–our resort collection will finally be live on the Gal Meets Glam Collection site and at all our new retailers! As you browse the lookbook and decide which styles you may want to add to your wardrobe, I wanted to highlight a few that I think would be perfect for the many occasions we celebrate each spring. After all, this is the season for warm-weather getaways, picnics and parties, bridal showers and baby showers, wedding festivities, and afternoons of enjoying the sunshine after months spent indoors. Outfitted in the perfect dress, each moment is made all the lovelier, don’t you think?
From wrap details to flowy midi skirts and delicate florals to bold lace, each style this month exudes the femininity and grace I’m always looking for in my outfits. We made sure there would be a Gal Meets Glam Collection look to suit any occasion this spring, as well as to infuse elegance into everyday life (which we truly believe is a special occasion in itself).
A Spring Wedding: Julia
We’re bringing back the Julia dress (a favorite of mine, as you can probably guess) in solid colors this month! The rose and navy shades will be available at GMG Collection and other retailers, and languostino (a gorgeous orangey-coral) can be found at Nordstrom. Pair your favorite color option with strappy heels for a romantic wedding guest look.

Easter Brunch: Lilly
Hosting brunch for Easter is one of my favorite traditions–I love pulling out all of my favorite pastel dishes and covering the table with flowers (not to mention, the delicious food Thomas whips up). This sweet spring day with loved ones calls for a feminine, floral dress, so the peony print Lilly style couldn’t be a more perfect fit. Add these wicker earrings for a fun finishing touch.

A Bridal or Baby Shower: Poppy
One of my favorite things about my current stage of life is the opportunity to witness and celebrate the milestones of so many friends, especially weddings and new babies! For spring showers of all kinds, I’ll be reaching for colorful, casual, celebratory pieces, like our linen Poppy dress. Wear it with espadrille wedges to ensure you’ll be comfortable whether the party is inside, outside, or a combination of the two.

Mother’s Day Tea: Elisabetta
I feel so lucky that my mom lives nearby, so we now always get to celebrate her on Mother’s Day in person. Whether we go out for afternoon tea or put together a special spread of her favorite treats at home, I love dressing up for the occasion in polished pastels.

Since many graduations take place outside, lightweight dresses are a must…especially if you’re the one graduating and will have a gown on over your dress for at least part of the day. Liliana has a breezy, but sophisticated feel, and its tank sleeves and white color will help you keep cool in the sun. Best of all, popping on the coordinating jacket creates an elegant outfit for dinner that evening.

A Garden Party: Iris
Sometimes, the only excuse I need for a celebration is the shining sun and blooming flowers. Invite a few friends over for cocktails in your garden or pack a picnic and head to a park in full bloom to enjoy the very best of spring. A darling jumpsuit and comfortable raffia slides make for a comfortable, effortless, and feminine look for an afternoon in the sunshine.
