I was told I would be making $11 an hour. Got paid today, only made $9.75 an hour…
I’m just looking for a little advice on how I should handle this situation… I never signed anything that said I should be making $11 an hour, only told. When I got my check today, I was only paid $9.75 for the hours I worked when I was supposed to be making $11. I’m sure this was just an accident, but will they have to pay me the money I’m missing on my check? How should I bring this up to my boss?
Edit: Thank you everyone for your answers and concern. I really do appreciate it. This has never happened to me before. Hopefully it was just a simple error and it gets fixed and I can move on. It’s not my intention to start any conflict with my bosses.
For some clarification the $9.75 an hour was before taxes under the time that I should’ve been getting paid $11. I spoke to my supervisor and was told this has happened before and they will most likely put the difference that they owe me on my next check… which kinda sucks, but at least I’ll get my money. I’ll get that confirmed before I leave work today.
